As Adamantea is a god, these aren't hardline constraints; it's a reference for what sorts of things she can do, rather than rules.
While a Warden on the Barge, Adamantea has restricted herself & has also been gently Admiral-nerfed; she passively senses surface thoughts, but will not reference anything deeper without an OOC check-in. Her magic fluxes in strength, so if she needs to not have a specific ability for any given plot or narrative direction to work - she just doesn't! Don't worry about it.

This also lists notes that are too tangental to include in her application, but are relevant to some degree to her existence as a magical entity.



ASCENSION: Adamantea has achieved ascension - "the process by which a Mage achieves ultimate power over reality, transcending the bounds of their earthly limits". Normally, Mages work magic by manipulating one or more of the Spheres that composit reality: Ascension means she exists on the same level as those spheres.
She doesn't 'cast spells' with her Archsphere of Mind, because she is it. She simply acts, and reality reflects the change she makes.

TWIN SOULS: Adamantea has three (four? it's complicated) other ascended Mages, her former cabal, whose souls are twinned to hers. When together, their powers can intertwine to reach impossible heights and create impossible effects, and they can borrow each other's magic or perform effects through each other.
• • • Dimensional separation from her cabal means her powers aren't truly unlimited, but her soul inherently seeks similar resonances: she has never known being any other way.

BEING OF PARADOX: Adamantea should not exist. She was never a real girl: she's the living personification of the magic that perpetuated a time paradox and the time loop it created. Her escape from the loop - without breaking or closing it - should have been completely impossible. She is fundamentally a creature of reality working sideways, and belief-based creatures may find her presence empowers them.

WARPED TIMELINE: Even before she became Adamantea she was simultaneously two years old (technically), and also sixteen, and also eighteen, and also somewhere in her thirties. She's still simultaneously all of those things, but she's also over ten thousand years of linear time old and - to some degree - part of the fundamental underpinnings of reality. Her timeline is an absurd snarl.

BEING OF MAGIC: In her world, Mages gain magic from their Avatar, a reincarnating portion of the soul. Poppy Keo's avatar was an enormous crystalline goddess named Adamantea. For all intents and purposes magically, they are now the same entity and have been for ten thousand+ years: there is no reincarnating portion of her soul anymore. If Adamantea was somehow permanently killed, that Avatar will never be reborn again.

PARADIGMATIC: Raw emotion, integrity, and caring about things are fundamental to Adamantea: cold, clinical truths are anathema to her. Magic that creates, cures, or protects is as easy as blinking; magic that is malicious and cruel requires appropriate emotions.

MARAUDER: Poppy Keo - her former self - was a type of Mage called a Marauder. Marauders passively and uncontrollably warp reality around them to reflect their perceptions. Adamantea's Ascension has incorporated this into herself; as a result, if she experiences extremely intense distress she emits a marauder field: an area around her where reality stops working right, shattered and warped like a prism of light. Corridors don't connect where they should, entities don't behave quite right, and people don't think rationally. The more distressed she is, the more intense the effect is, until reality becomes completely unrecognizable.

A GOD, WORSHIPPED: Worshippers can commune with her and receive her divine favor, and she's most easily evoked with strong, discordant emotions.


ARCHMAGE OF MIND: Adamantea's first and truest domain. Her 'Archsphere', as it is called: she does not manipulate the aspect of reality known as Mind, she fundamentally is this aspect of reality far moreso than any other Spheres.
consciousness, thought, minds, feelings, dreams, memories...Emotion manipulation: read, alter, create, remove others' emotions; generate effects based off emotions...
Telepathy: perceive cognition; sense thoughts; read deeper thoughts; detect lies; communicate telepathically; create telepathic links; mind control; memory alteration; permanent consciousness alteration...
Empowerment: create mental shields; induce a state of intense mental clarity; enhance cognition; access knowledge from any accessible mind not closed to her...
On the Barge, this final ability will only be used with explicit OOC opt-in.
Other: dreamwalk; enter + manipulate dreams; astral projection; read magical/emotional resonance/memories on objects, places, or people; create minds...
One note on this: Adamantea is a god of minds and feelings and emotions, yes, especially when the latter two are running high and warping perceptions and cognitions. She is not, however, a god of madness. (...that's one of the other members of her cabal.)

growth, life, biology, evolution, healing, living cells...our lady of gardens: affinity with plant growth and flowers, to the degree it's one of her facets she's worshipped in as a god
Healing: perceive physical health; burn out illnesses and infections; fix scar tissue; heal injuries; she couldn’t name a single pancreatic enzyme without pulling that info from someone's brain, but she sure can cast Cure Mass Serious Wounds like it's nothing
Undying: she could pretend to be "mortal" to the extent of "body can die temporarily", like it was back before she ascended, but she doesn't want to do that. she has blood, but it has nothing to do with keeping her alive, and it glitters and shimmers in the light if it's spilled
Energy Manipulation: move life energy between entities, or wrest it from an entity, or change its nature somehow...
The Body Unlimited: this body is a projection and does not have human limitations. she's kind of stupid strong.
Transmutation: change living matter between forms; convert other things into living matter / vice versa; give living matter the traits of other entities or objects...
Creation & Alteration: create organic life; alter existing organic life...

magic itself, channeling, metamagic, creation, manipulation, reality itself...Creation: create objects, forces, effects, etc., from raw magic; make something "real"; enchant items; bless someone, giving them powers that draw from hers; create parma magica, precooked magic-blocking shields
Destruction: drain the 'realness' from an entity, item, or force; harm a target's metaphysical schema; unwork and destroy enchantments; enchant an item with countermagick against a specific type of magic...
Alteration: turn existing changes to an entity's metaphysical schema into permanent ones; revise enchantments; promote or create ‘facets’ in an entity...
Demesne: has access to her demesne, a personal space and sanctum that exists within the world of dreams. a door in her cabin leads directly to this space, and she can control the space itself freely while inside. she can bring anyone inside that she wants to.
Emotional Projection: can create extra “hologram”-esque selves made of crystalline magic to physically and consciously be in multiple places at once and multitask. the Projections do not bleed. by default, one strong hit will destroy it

While Mages do have access to nine Spheres of reality, Poppy Keo was completely hopeless with the sphere of Entropy (entropy, order, chaos, luck, destiny...) and always relied on a soulmate who excelled with it.

...this relationship did not change once they became gods. In entropic matters, Adamantea calls for the assistance of the God Who Watches, and if he's not in this dimension she's hopeless with anything more than sensing and perceiving.
